В Правительстве рассмотрен вопрос безопасности на водоемах
Today, Minister of Emergency Situations Genghis Arinov spoke at a Government meeting on the issue of safety in reservoirs.
As the Minister of Emergency Situations informed, ensuring the safety of citizens in reservoirs is one of the important directions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The measures taken to protect the population show their effectiveness, as a result, since 2020, deaths in reservoirs have been reduced from 437 to 227.
Since the beginning of the year, 76 people have been rescued by rescuers in reservoirs, 24 since the beginning of the bathing season. 45 people have drowned since the beginning of the year, 27 since June 1.
To ensure the safety of the population, 42 rescue posts of the Ministry of Emergency Situations operate in the reservoirs. Next year, the construction of 3 modular stations on the Shalkar and Imantau lakes, as well as in the city of Kosshy, will be completed. 15 more stations are needed on large reservoirs.
Additionally, mobile posts equipped with boats and rescue equipment are being created for the summer period. They carry out duty and patrol of reservoirs.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations systematically buys modern boats, drones and rescue equipment. Work is underway to create a National marine detachment on the shores of the Caspian Sea in the Mangystau region.
Considering that 95% of drowned people are registered in prohibited places, together with the akimats, the permitted places for swimming and recreation are increasing annually. Today there are 708 of them in the country, the data is posted on the 2GIS platform. An additional 33 beaches will be open by the end of June.
At the same time, some beaches do not meet the established requirements and sanitary standards, which leads to negative consequences. For example, last year 5 people drowned in authorized places. Also, jet skis are actively used by vacationers, their improper operation carries the risk of death.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations pays special attention to the safety of children. Before the start and throughout the bathing period, they are taught swimming, rescue skills and first aid.
The main cause of death of children is the abandonment of children without adult supervision. In this regard, we conduct briefings with parents and educators of children's camps.
Currently, there are more than 30 children's camps located near reservoirs in the country. Of these, only 19 have equipped places for bathing children.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with the police, conducts patrols and raids in permitted and prohibited places. Since the beginning of the year, more than 26 thousand have been conducted, about 3 thousand violators have been involved in administrative responsibility, and 49 people have been involved since June 1 this year.
The forces and means of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are on high alert. Necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety of the population and protect the territory of the country.
